We have been operating as a full-service film production company in the heart of Frankfurt am Main since 1995. We conceive, plan and realise media productions for companies, institutions, brands and the advertising industry – on any scale. Our range of services includes concept development, script development, film production (HD, UHD, 4K to 8K, including with RED cameras), production management, 2D and 3D motion graphic design, music composition, sound design, editing, post-production and digital services.
Our clients include renowned names such as Samsung, Merck, DekaBank, the German Federal Government, Telekom and KIA. But smaller and medium-sized companies also rely on our expertise and have been able to significantly increase their visibility and reach through our productions.

THOMAS POHL – Head of Production
Thomas studied music and German language and literature at Goethe University Frankfurt. After completing his studies, he founded Department Studios in Frankfurt am Main, where he is responsible for creation, direction and production. With over 25 years of experience in production, he has realised more than 2,000 productions for international brands, institutions and broadcasters. In addition to his work as a producer, Thomas Pohl is also a speaker on storytelling and the author of the non-fiction book Sequencer Works, in which he discusses the digitisation of music production, as well as the novel Absender Ost-Berlin.

HENRY POHL – Content Creator
Henry is a particularly creative mind and passionate cameraman who has been involved in video production since childhood. Whether behind the camera or in post-production, Henry always brings new ideas and an eye for detail to the table. On our productions in Australia, England, France and, of course, ‘good old Germany,’ he demonstrates his versatility and how well he fits into different projects and teams. With his easy-going manner and technical expertise, he is a true team player who makes every project a little better.
